Seaman Thomas Henry Jackson (Service No:B/V223) enlisted in the RAN on 24 October 1942 as a Cadet/Ordinary Seaman attached to the Moreton. Seaman Jackson was Discharged (HMAS Kanimbla) on 5 February 1946. Both his siblings (Will and Jack) and wife Sybil served in WWII.

Born in 1907 in Mackay QLD, Tom was the second of three children of John Jackson (b1880 in Gympie, QLD) and Rose Amy Louisa Webb (b1885 in Rockhampton, QLD). John (a Carrier in Mt Morgan, QLD) and Rosa married in 1903 in Rockhampton and Lived in Mt Morgan before separating - Rose settled in Rockhampton and remarried in 1917. John worked as a Carrier, Teamster and Labourer in Mt Morgan.

Tom worked in Yeppoon as a Labourer before enlisting in the RAN. In 1944 he married Sybil Bolck (b1908 in Rockhampton, QLD) - Sybil also lived in Yeppoon and in 1944 was in the Army (Private; Service No:Q142487). Tom and Sybil settled in Yeppoon, QLD where Tom was a Fisherman, Labourer and Council Worker. Tom died in 1978 and Sybil in 1993.
