Stoker Alex William Davis (Service No:F3517) enlisted in the RAN on 31 March 1941 and was attached to HMAS Leeuwin when he was Discharged on 22 February 1946.
The second of six children of Henry Harold Davis (b1895 in Jarrahdale, WA) and Sylvia Hazel Gladys Doddemeade (b1894 at Findon in South Australia), Alex was born in Perth in 1918. Henry (a Brickmaker) and Sylvia married in 1915 in Perth WA where they settled and raised their fmaily and Henry worked as a Brickmaker and Truck Driver.
Alex worked as a Labourer in Perth and in 1946 married Dorothy Avis Perkins (b1924 in Kalgoorlie, WA) - Dorothy was a Corporal in the ACMF (Service No:W45477). Alex and Dorothy settled in Perth where Alex worked as a Fitter/Gas Fitter. Dorothy died in 1984 and Alex in 1988.
