Death Railway and Hellfire Pass
Clarence was a prisoner of war from 1942 to 1945, enduring unimaginable hardship while forced to work on the infamous Death Railway in Thailand. Decades later, with quiet strength and profound courage, he returned to Hellfire Pass—a place etched with pain, resilience, and memory. This photo was taken in July 2025, during my walk through the memorial, reflecting on the legacy of those who endured and the power of remembrance.
