George was the eldest of twelve children of Copeland Cobden Bradshaw (b1870 in New Norfolk, Tasmania) and Annie Elizabeth Ransley (b1871 in Cressy, Tasmania). Copeland (a Farmer) and Annie married in 1891 in New Norfolk, Tasmania where they settled and raised their family.
George was a Farmer in Tasmania when he enlisted in the AIF in August 1914. He served at Gallipoli and in France and was WiA on two occasions. He was a Sergeant (Service No:1956) when he was Discharged in 1918.
Following his Discharge, George married Mary Guthrie (b1896 in Donegal, ireland) in 1918 in Fremantle WA where they settled. George enlisted in the RAN in 1920 and worked in Fremantle as a Naval Guard. He served as a Sergeant 2nd Class in WWII and was attached to HMAS Leeuwin when he was Discharged in June 1945.
George and Mary moved to Perth WA where George worked as a Clerk. He died in 1970 and Mary in 1994.
