Thomas Stanley Lipple is the son of Leonard James Norman Lipple (1893-1946) and Elsie Alice Anderson (1896-1971) of Nolba, Chapman Valley Shire, Western Australia.

Thomas married Audrey Constance Criddle (1919-2017) of Naraling, Chapman Valley Shire, Western Australia in Geraldton.

After Tom was discharged from the Navy, he lived in Claremont with his wife and sons and worked in the Australian Customs at the Perth Airport.
