"...5439 Sapper Charles Edward Haworth. A wheelwright from North Carlton, Victoria, Haworth enlisted in September 1915 and embarked with the 5th Field Company Engineers. He was transferred to the 12th Field Company Engineers in May 1916. Sapper Haworth's unit was based at Vignacourt for several weeks in the winter of 1916-17 while undertaking a number of different engineering projects in the surrounding area.
