Parents: - John Rose and Annie Crilly married 29th January 1872 in Rushworth, Victoria.

Wife: - Herta Doretta Wehl married 1907 in Rushworth, Victoria. 

Private John Rose commenced his return to Australia aboard H.T. A14 'Euripides', on 30th January 1918, he disembarked in Melbourne, on 21th March 1918 and was discharged as medically unfit (Rheumatism), in Melbourne on 30th April 1918.
