The 3rd name inscribed is 1st Class Stoker Robert Selbay (Selby) Hooey, Royal Australian Navy (Service No-3675), from Minmi, New South Wales, who died on the 23rd August 1949 at the Prince Henry Hospital, N.S.W., age 58. Buried on the 25th August 1949. Place of burial or ashes interred unknown.

Born at Wallsend, New South Wales on the 15th October 1891 (not confirmed) to William and Esther Hooey; husband of Linda M Hooey nee Garth, married 1918, Sydney, N.S.W., died?, Robert enlisted on the 26th February 1914, serving on the HMVS Cerberus to the 6th July 1921 with HMAS Penguin.
Mr. Hooey’s name has only been inscribed on the Minmi Roll of Honour.
