About This Unit
Raised as fourth Field Artillery Brigade for the 3rd Division, this plan was abandoned when Field Batteries were up-scaled to six gun Batteries in early 1917. This also had the effect of reducing the numbers of command posts and qualified officers and NCO to run them, thus saving scarce manpower.
