About This Unit
Each of;
Queensland (1MD / QLD LOC),
New South Wales (2MD / NSW LOC),
Victoria (3MD / VIC LOC),
Tasmania (6MD / Tas LOC) and
South Australia (4MD / SA LOC) which was also responsible for the NT excluding Darwin,
Each operated a Headquarters and subordinate elements in the Line of Communications structure providing administrative control of personnel, equipment, stores and consumables being procured stored and moved throughout their jurisdiction. These were generally headquartered in the Military District Headquarters with outlying depots throughout the District.
