About This Unit
Supply Depot Companies / Platoons
Supply Depots were used to store battlefield supplies temporarily near the front lines. They were responsible for everything other than ammuniton.
Replensihment, Maintenance and Repair operate in 'Echelons' described as 'Lines'. 1st Line relates to that materiel held in the combat units at the Forward Edge of the Battle Area. 2nd Line relates to Formation level Maintenance and Administration Areas. Supply Depots are generally 3rd Line although that may vary depending on the operational environment and tactical situation.
