About This Unit
The 17th Field Ambulance was formed at Windmill Hill, Andover, England on 15 June 1917 for service with the Sixth Division and was disbanded on 25 October 1917 when the division could not be formed due to a lack of men.
We would particularly like to encourage individual historians researchers or members of unit associations to contribute to the development of a more detailed history and photographs pertaining to this unit and its members.
