About This Unit
Repair and Servicing (aka Salvage) Units were 2nd Line maintenance support infrastructure elements necessary to optimise the serviceability of aircraft and other key equipments in the RAAF Inventory. 1st Line support was carried out at units and 3rd Line support was the responsibility of Aircraft Repair Depots. In more recent years these functions have been aggregated into Base Supoort and Maintenance Squadrons.
