About This Unit
Raised in Queensland the 3rd Sanitary Section was allocated to the 3rd Division. Formed at Fraser's Paddock (Fraser's Camp now on Enoggera Military Camp) the section comprised volunteers entirely from Queensland. After training, it embarked at Sydney on HMAT Demosthenes (A64) on 16 May 1916.
