The New York "Evening Sun" states that the British transport Dwinsk, 8,173 tons, has been torpedoed and sunk by a German submarine in American waters. Seventeen survivors have arrived at New York, but 145 other men are adrift in small boats. The Dwinsk was attacked 700 miles to tho east of Delaware Cape. It is reported that there were no troops on board.
