About This Unit
The Fifth (New South Wales) Battalion Australian Commonwealth Horse will embark for service in South Africa on the transport Columbian at 10 a.m. on Thursday, the 22nd 1902 , at Cowper's Wharf, east side of Woolloomooloo Bay. The detail consists of 25 officers, 442 non-commissioned officers and men, with 346 horses.
