Son of John Thomas Bailey Adams and Marion Eleanor Adams nee Diggins of 45 Clara Street, South Yarra, Victoria
Commenced return to Australia on 19 June 1919 aboard HT Militiades
During 1920 George married Doris Mary Hunter in Victoria and in 1923 he was living in Railway Avenue, Springvale, Victoria

On 14 Septmber 1925 he re-enlisted at the 3rd Military District with service number 1895 and was discharged on the 7 March 1930 at his own request
