3rd Bn. Australian Infantry, A.I.F.
He was 39 and the son of David and Elizabeth Cormack; husband of Winifred May Cormack, of Cressy Rd., North Ryde, New South Wales. He is one of four Australian casualties of the Great War remembered on the Wick War Memorial.

The memorial is on a roundabout joining the main A99 with Station Road. It is a figure of victory on a stone pillar in an elevated walled enclosure reached by steps. Bronze name plaques are mounted on the semi-circular walls.
Wick (Scottish Gaelic: Inbhir Ùige, Scots: Week]) is a town and royal burgh in Caithness, in the far north of Scotland. The town straddles the River Wick and extends along both sides of Wick Bay.
