Next of kin given as Adeline Urquhart of Rutherglen, Victoria later changed to his sister Isabella Matzen of. Cowper Street, Goulburn, NSW
18 March 1916 - enlisted at Blackboy Hill, WA, with the 5th Tunnelling Company with the rank of Sapper.
30 September 1916 - transferred to the 3rd Tunnelling Company.
15 February 1918 - commenced return to Australia aboard HT Llanstephen Castle disembarking on 8 April 1918
