Place of Association – Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia.

Mr. Costa’s name has been inscribed on the Customs House World War 1 Roll of Honour, Sydney N.S.W. Dept. of Trade and Customs Great War Honour Roll and the Book of Gold. Name would be inscribed on the Newcastle Collegiate School Roll of Honour, whereabouts unknown, and should have been inscribed on the Cooks Hill Superior Public School Roll of Honour Board 1.

There is no memorial inscription on the headstone for the Costa family to tell us of the loss of their son during The Great War, and I am unable to erect a Memorial cross, so I have placed poppies in remembrance of their son’s service and supreme sacrifice for God, King & Country. ANGLICAN 1-04. 101.

Contact with descendants would be greatly appreciated.
