Son of Frank Couch Michell and Hannah Elizabeth Michell of 92 Regent Street, Paddington, NSW formerly of 7 Bathurst Street, Woollahra, NSW.

Brother of Frank Couch Michell who was killed in action on 29 September 1917 while serving with the 56th Battalion and has no known grave. Name appears on Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Panel 29
