Son of James Matthew Quinn and Alice Quinn nee Bryan of Castlereagh Street, Redfern, NSW formerly of Swansea, Tasmania
Brother of George Arthur Quinn who returned to Australia on 20 July 1917 having served with the 30th Battalion; James Barnabas Quinn who returned to Australia on 25 May 1919 having served with the 55th Battalion; Lewis Claude Quinn who returned to Australia on 27 November 1918 having served with the 37th Battalion.
