Add my storyBiography contributed by Cherilyn McMeekin
Leslie was the 7th son of Henry and Rosina PROSSER (nee NORTH) of Bunbury, and 8th of their 10 children. All but the eldest survived to adulthood.
Leslie lied about his year of birth when he enlisted in the Second World War. He was actually born in January 1901, not January 1903, making him 39 and a half when he enlisted in August 1940, although the maximum age limit had been increased to 40 in that same year.
Leslie had married Stella Rose ROBINS in Kalgoorlie in Oct 1934. They had 2 sons, Clyde and Richard. He died in 1979 aged 78.
