7 Jun 1916: Embarked AIF WW1, Private, SN 5221, Embarked on Ionian from Alexandria, Egypt on 7th June 1916, disembarking Marseilles on 14th June 1918.
2 Sep 1916: Transferred AIF WW1, Private, 4th Machine Gun Company, Private Wellman attended the Machine Gun Base Depot Camiers, France for instruction from 7th August 1916 to 31st August 1916.
12 Sep 1916: Transferred AIF WW1, Private, 13th Machine Gun Company
13 Apr 1917: Wounded AIF WW1, Private, SN 5221, 13th Machine Gun Company, Wounded in action, gassed and admitted to 47th Casualty Clearing Station. Succumbed to injuries on 15th April 1917.
