During her service Margaret attended Course No. 8 for Pupil Nurses and Orderlies from 2nd June 1945 to 22 July 1945 at which she gained a pass.

She was appointed Specialist Trade Group 3 Nursing Orderly 12th October 1945, which duties she performed until discharged.
