Humphrey was born in Bundarra, New South Wales in 1893

His parents were Thomas CONDRAN & Sarah Jane REDMOND who married in NSW in 1890

He enlisted on 6th October 1915 and embarked with the 25th Infantry Battalion, 7th reinforcements from Brisbane on the HMAT Itonus on 30th December, 1915

Humphrey was Killed in Action at Messines, Belgium, no known grave

His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Menin Gate Memorial
