Lieutenant Percy Richmond Isaac (Service No:23) enlisted in the AIF on 8 January 1915 and was a Sergeant attached to 13th Light Horse Regiment on 28 May 1915 when he embarked with his Unit from Melbourne for Mudros on board HMAT A34 Persic. Sergeant Isaac served in Egypt and Gallipoli, and was 2nd Lieutenant with 4th Divisional Artillery on 6 June 1916 when he embarked with his Unit from Alexandria for Marseilles. Lieutenant Isaac served on the Western Front, embarking from England for Melbourne on 2 January 1919 on board HT Berrima, and was attached to 10th Field Artillery Brigade on 11 April 1919 when his Appointment was Terminated.

Percy was born in Mooroopna, Victoria in 1882, third of four children of Rev Abraham Isaac (b1854 in Somerset, England) and Mary Judd (b1842 in Lancashire, England). Abraham had arrived in NSW with his parents and siblings in 1858 on board the David McIver and Mary in 1854 at Port Jackson NSW on board the Bosphorous. Abraham and Mary married in Ipswich QLD in 1878, and moved to New South Wales in 1880 before moving to Victoria by 1882. Abraham and Mary lived in Mooroopna and  Melbourne before settling in Geelong - Abraham was a Clergyman/Minister of Religion.

Percy started work in Melbourne as a Pupil Teacher, and was a Teacher in Wangaratta in 1910 when he married his first wife Lily Carline (aka Carline) Rudd (b1885 in Melbourne, Victoria) - Carline was working as a Music Teacher and Musician in Melbourne. Percy and Carline settled in Wangaratta, where Percy was a Teacher when he enlisted in the AIF. Following his Discharge, Percy and Carline settled in Melbourne, and Divorced in 1922. Percy remarried in Melbourne in 1925 to Evaline (Evie) Pritchard (b1902 in Melbourne, Victoria) - Evie was a Teacher in Melbourne. Percy and Evie settled in Melbourne, where Percy was a Teacher until his death in 1931. Evie then worked as a Teacher in Melbourne until her remarriage in 1941.
