Joyce BAKER was born in Murwillumbah, NSW on 2nd November, 1922
Her parents were Thomas James BAKER & Emily Anna TODD who married in Murwillumbah in 1911
She enlisted with the Army on 16th February, 1943 in Paddington, Sydney and was discharged on 11th July, 1944 - at the time she was in Unit 27, AWAS, Yeronga Barracks in Brisbane, Queensland
She had also served in the Coastal Artillery in Sydney
Joyce married Joseph Henry Marmaduke STOCKWELL in the Cloncurry Methodist, Church in Queensland on 17th April, 1949 - they lived in Queensland and Joseph died in 1978 and is buried with one of his sons in Nudgee Cemetery
They had three known children - Joyce was also known as Joyce WINCH but no further details known if she remarried after Josephs death in 1978
