JACK STIBBARD was born on 31st March, 1894, at Obley, New South Wales, the son of Mr. George John and Mrs. Stibbard, of Henty, New South Wales. He was educated at the Petersham Technical College. He entered the Bank’s service on 3rd August, 1911, at Henty; and on 9th July, 1915, was transferred to Corowa, as ledger-keeper.
Jack Stibbard enlisted on 3rd December, 1915, as a trooper in the A.I.F., and was allotted to the 6th Australian Light Horse Regiment, Anzac Mounted Division. He served in Egypt and Palestine, and was promoted to the rank of warrant officer on 1st April, 1919.
