Had enlisted in 1915 under the name of Cyril Percy Prenderast but deserted after six months service then re-enlisted in 1917

Son of James Patrick Adams and Louisa Adams nee Huggins of Rutherglen, Victoria. Brother of Alice Prendergast of Wangaratta, Victoria

Husband of Ethel Adams of Prendergast of 160 Charles Street, Footscary, Victoria

Commenced return to Australia on 3 July 1919 aboard HT Malta disembarking on the 7 August 1919

Cyril Percy Prendergast was son of James Patrick Prendergast and Louises Prendergast, nee Huggins of Rutherglen, Victoria.

He initially enlisted on 14th January 1915 at Liverpool, NSW and listed his sister Alice of Wangaratta, Victoria as his next of kin. He deserted on 8th February 1915.

He re-enlisted on 15th May 1917 at Williamstown, Victoria and listed his Wife Ethel as his next of kin. As he was a boundary rider he was assigned to the 8th Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 29th Reinforcement, which embarked from Melbourne, Victoria on board HMAT A55 Kyarra 7th September 1917.

He returned to Australia on 3rd July 1919 aboard HT Malta disembarking on the 7th August 1919 at Port Melbourne and he discharged on 13th December 1919.

He re-married in 1921 to Lillian Rose Threlkeld and had 7 children. He died in the Caulfield Military Hospital on 17th July 1939.
