Son of John Quaill and Fanny Quaill nee Gilbert of Neville Street, Kangaroo Point, QLD.

Commenced return to Australia on 20 July 1919 aboard HT Morvada disembarking on 28 August 1919 at Sydney for onward travel to Brisbane

On 16 January 1942 John married Elby May Buttress in QLD.
