Add my storyBiography contributed by Stephen Brooks
Ira Naylor was one of six sons of the late Mr. Henry Naylor, of Penguin, a retired Indian civil servant, who all volunteered for active service, and went to the front. An original Anzac, he served on Gallipoli from the day of the landing. He was wounded in May 1915 and later was evacuated with chronic dysentery. Three of his brothers were later killed or died of wounds during the Great War.
He was returned to Australia during April 1916 with debility and dysentery. He served again during WW2, at fifty seven years of age.
