William Frederick Heath was born at Gravesend near Inverell NSW in 1894. He was posted missing at Fromelles 19 July 1916. Nothing was ever discovered about his fate and he was determined by a Court of Enquiry during August 1917 to have been killed in action.
His younger brother, 130A Tpr. Henry Heath 1st Australian Light Horse was killed in action in Palestine 14 July 1918, age 22. Another brother 2643 Private Robert Heath also served with the 1st Light Horse Regiment and returned to Australia during 1919.
