Military Cross

HIS MAJESTY THE KING has been graciously pleased to approve of the following Awards to the undermentioned officers and warrant officers, in recognition of their gallantry and devotion to duty in the field:—
AWARDED THE MILITARY CROSS.
2nd Military District.
For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in a raid. Through heavy trench mortar and machine gun fire he led his men into the enemy trench, accounted for several, and pursued others who had retired to the flank with bombs. He set a fine example to his men, and suffered very slight casualties.
