Henry John William Bomsa (male) was born on the 15 of January 1981, his hometown was Niewuwer-Amstel, Netherlands. He attended Navy school in the Netherlands. Before the war he worked as a labourer. Bomsa was 5 '5 feet tall, he weighed 61 kilograms he had a fair complexion, grey eyes and brown hair.
Bomsa first enlisted for WW1, whilst living in Keswick, on the 16th July 1915. He embarked on the 14th of September 1915 and was a member of the 10th Infantry Battalion. He embarked on the HMAT Ballarat 14th September 1915.
He was wounded at Pozieres in August 1916 and was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in the field.
Bomsa tragically died from his wounds on the 25th of August 1916 at Special Hospital Worley France.
