Son of Carl Heinrich Bernhard Vohr and Dorothea Johannie Marie Sussbier of Watson Avenue, Rose Park, SA formerly of Jamestown, SA. 

Brother of Arthur Bernhardt Vohr who returned to Australia in 1917 having served with the 48th Battalion

Commenced return to Australia on 15 November 1918 aboard HT Port Darwin disembarking on 25 December 1918

Medals: 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

On 14 August 1924 Sophus married Marjorie Agnes Lorraind in the Methodist Church, Prospect North, SA
