Son of William Wright Virtue and Henriette C/- Moffat E. Virtue Ltd, Clarence Street, Sydney, NSW formerly of Glasgow, Scotland.

Commenced return to Australia on 16 January 1918 aboard SS Grampian via America at his own expense to make arrangements for the supply of machinery for the family firm then continuing to Australia aboard HT Niagara disembarking on 20 April 1918.
