Son of Frederick James KEMPTON, 27 Balina Road, Bermondsey London, England
Returned to Australia 3 March 1918 and discharged as medically unfit.
After the war he moved around western Queensland and most of New South Wales, living in bush camps and made numerous applications for lost discharge papers and badges. The reasons given varied from lost while fighting bushfire at Blackall, lost on the road between Collarenebri and Pokataroo, and lost in floods at Tumut. He also spent time in several hosptials and gaol.
Henry died in Winton and is buried in the RSL section of the Winton Cemetery.
