Add my storyBiography contributed by Peter Hack
Benjamin Richard Haack was my Grandfather, he changed his name from Haack to Hack because it sounded German so he could join the war. Pop and Nana were farmers and had 10 acres of land at Rochdale where they had a hobby farm, they were self reliant for the most part, I can remember going to their house and eating strawberries from the vege garden. He was a quiet and gentle man and until this year I never knew he went to war. Pop owned a 1949 Austin Somerset which I currently own.
