Died on this date - 15th February........Private Arthur John Couchman was born in Dartford, Kent, England in 1887. He travelled to Australia & enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 10th July, 1916 as a 29 year old Married Labourer from North Fremantle, Western Australia.

Private Couchman arrived in England on 10th January, 1917 & was posted to 13th Training Battalion at Codford, Wiltshire. He was admitted to New Zealand Hospital at Codford on 11th February, 1917.

Private Arthur John Couchman died at 5.30 p.m. on 15th February, 1917 from Broncho-pneumonia. He was buried in Anzac War Graves Cemetery (St Mary's New Churchyard, Codford) where 30 other WW1 Australian Soldiers & 66 WW1 New Zealand Soldiers are buried.
