"...4846 Private George Springett, 30th Battalion of Granville, NSW. A painter prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Anchises (A68) on 24 January 1917. He was killed in action on 20 April 1918 in the village of Hamlet, France while on salvage patrol, aged 27.
