Son of John Zeller and Ann Zeller nee Nixon of Chinchilla, QLD.

Brother of Richard Zeller who retruned to Australia on 15 February 1919 having served with the 42nd Battalion; Alfred Zeller who returned to Australia on 20 August 1919 having served with the 8th Field Company Engineers; Thomas Zeller who was killed in action on 7 October 1917 and is buried in the Tyne Cot Cemetery, Plot XX111, Row A, Grave 6.
