Life Details
Thomas Hail Kensit was born Apr-Jun 1889 in St Giles London, Middlesex (Saint Pancras, London, England).
His parents were William (Francis William, Francis John) Kensit and Betsy Songhurst who married 6 Nov 1870 in St Paul, Canonbury, Islington, London (Nw), London, England. I assume Betsy died when he was a baby as William remarried Clara Bowskill in 1891 in Pancras.
In 1901 he was a school boy living with his family in living at 22 Regents Square, St Pancras, London.
In 1911 he was living West Hull, West Sculcoates, Sculcoates.
Immigrated to Australia 21 Oct 1912, Fremantle, Western Australia.
Was on casualty list 11 December 1917, as having shell shock.
Married Emma Gray 21 Jul 1919, Saint James Church In Clapton, Hackney Dist, England.
Along with his wife embarked from England on the Port Napier on and disembarked in Australia on 2 February 1920.
From 1922 - 1933 was a farmer manager, Watheroo, WA.
23 Sep 1934 letter from his son to the paper hoping Thomas would get better soon.
Attended the RSL Dance, 17 Aug 1938.
He died 13 Nov 1938, Marchagee, Perth, Australia.
Buried 16 Nov 1938, Karrakatta Cemetery, Karrakatta WA.
