The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 102 and 273. Prior to the war he was a farmer of Wagra Park Vic. He enlisted 25 Aug 1914 aged 19 years. He served with the 4th Infantry Battalion, rising to the rank of Corporal. For his activities during the war he was awarded the Military Medal . He survived the war, departing the UK for home 23rd Mar 1919.
