Thomas played 3 games for WAFC in 1914. He made his debut on 23 May 1914.W.T. Kelly in History of West Adelaide Football Club page 45, states he showed great promise.
Biographical details:
Thomas left Melbourne on board HMAT A7 Medic on 20 May 1916. His unit was sent to France on 30 October. Thomas sustained an injury to his left foot which resulted in being considered medically unfit. As a result, he returned to Australia on the Port Lyttleton, arriving on 11 December 1917. Thomas was discharged on 21 January 1918. He died on 16 December 1956.
