Biography

John married Jean Bosanko at Cairns Methodist Church on 20 June 1923; they did not have any children and are shown living in Cairns to 1943 , Cheltenham Victoria in 1949 & Camp Hill, Queensland until Jeans death in 1958. 

"Pte. Danson Gassed.

Mr, and Mrs. John Danson, of Stannary Hills, have received news that their son, Private J. T. Danson, was reported gassed on 27th August. Pte. Danson served with Kennedy's Infantry Regiment at Thursday Island during the first six months of the war. Later he enlisted in the A.I.F., and with a number of volunteers left Cairns on 12th February, 1916. Being allotted to the 9th Battalion, he was sent to France, where he served in the trenches and latterly as a stretcher bearer." - from the Cairns Northern Herlad 19 Sep 1918 (nla.gov.au)
