Biography

"...Lieutenant (Lt) Herbert Edwin Williams of Stanmore, NSW, of the 1st Battalion. A draftsman prior to enlistment, Lt Williams enlisted on 14 September and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Afric (A19) on 18 October 1914. He was killed in action at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915, aged 21 and has no known grave..."SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
