"...Lieutenant (Lt) Herbert Edwin Williams of Stanmore, NSW, of the 1st Battalion. A draftsman prior to enlistment, Lt Williams enlisted on 14 September and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Afric (A19) on 18 October 1914.
