| 1 Jan 1945: | Transferred Australian Military Forces (WW2) , Corporal, No. 3 Squadron (RAAF), After enlistment Frances was assigned to No 2 Flight, No 3 Sqdn, 1 S.T.T, West Melbourne and appears in a squadron photograph. She served in Melbourne until 1944 and at Garbutt Air Force Base, Townsville from 1945 to 1946. I am unaware of her serving in Brisbane, but she may have done so for a short period. She was a keen photographer and copies of her photos from the period of her service have been donated to the RAAF Museum at Point Cook. | |
