Son of Christian Abraham Visser and E.I. Van Derwe formerly Visser of Pretoria, South Africa.

Apprenticed to J.L. Bolt of Johannesburg, South Africa for three years.

Commenced return to Australia on 31 July 1918 aboard HT Malta disembarking on 28 September 1918 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney. 

Medals: 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

On 1 September 1921 Rudolph married Alice Cannings in the Chalmers Manse, Adelaide, SA.

Residential address at the time of death was Myrtle Bank, SA.
