Honouring Robert John Adams
According to his death record, Robert succumbed to pyemia, post operative shock and multiple arthritis when he died on 24 April 1919 [ref: FRE108M/19]. He was buried at Woodman Point Quarantine Station in the Church of England section, then reinterred at Perth War Cemetery, Plot U11.
The Australian Army established the Perth War Cemetery in 1942. Sixteen graves are lined together in the cemetery and are the only gravesites there for World War I service personnel.
Trooper 3410 and served in the 10th Light Horse and is honoured in the museum at the former quarantine station at Woodman Point and on the Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour, Panel 7.
